When defining Projects, the Administrator names the Project and defines at least one Search Path for the Project. A Search Path is simply a library concatenation that specifies the datasets where the source code can be found that will create the Project's load modules. In most cases, Project includes many Search Paths. Search Paths can be used to organize the Project builds in terms of release levels, or life cycles. Project and Search Paths together can be used to organize Parallel development activities, so that Project is managed with respect to both the release level and life cycle stages.
The Knowledgebase Server manages Project and Search Path data. When OOMLBLDM executes it reads the Project and Search Path information, and writes it to the Build Control File. The OOMLOM program then reads the Build Control File during the actual Build.
