A Workflow is made up of a series of steps, called Workflow Activities. Pre-configured Workflow Activities that call external tools such as versioning tools, static code analysis and testing tools are provided “out of the box.” You can also configure your own unique Workflow Activities. You should have a general idea of what steps you want your Workflow to execute before you begin adding your Activities to your Workflow. Defining the steps to the Workflow is simply a matter of deciding the order in which these Workflow Activities will execute, deciding what Server Pool they should execute on, and then establishing relationships between them through Activity Chaining.
